The July 2006
issue of Turkish music magazine Yüxexes figures Betty Ween on its
cover, as she is the starting point of a discussion about the
alternative ways to sell music. Betty Ween is the first band to
publish an album only through the Internet.

several times in the show "The Upper Room with Joe Kelley" in July 2006.
The "Upper Room with Joe Kelley" has been on the radio airwaves since

8-10 am) hosted by Omer Madra, and Tamer Kıvanç, host of Radyo
Foreks’s (95.3) "Maximum Keyif" (weekends between 7-9 pm), has been

OF BETTY WEEN PERFORM AT NEW MUSIC CONCERT

The first
performance in the New Music Concert Series organized by Bilgi
University will take place on February 25 at 19:00 at the French
Cultural Center in Istanbul. Betty Ween singer Gülüş Gülcügil and
composer Onur Türkmen are part of the ensemble Ex-Impro, also known as
the MIAM Improvisation Ensemble. Founded by Robert Reigle in early
2003, this ensemble is known for creating music that is set apart from
all traditional musical streams and styles.

year's Akbank Jazz Festival will feature a New Music concert by
composer Onur Turkmen. The "Anahata Project" was written by Betty
Ween's arranger and producer. Betty Ween' singer Gulus Gulcugil and
doublebass player Caner Kaptan will be among the performers at the
Festival.
